Noise Youth Ministry
Noise is a weekly gathering of JH and HS students from Platteville and surrounding towns. Our weekly meeting includes: fellowship, games, snacks, worship songs, Scripture reading, and a Bible-based lesson.
Noise covers issues important to the development of your student: family, health, spiritual growth, church, scripture memory, self-esteem, and friendships.
What’s With the Name?
Our name is derived from Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful NOISE to the rock of our salvation.”
I heard about a Band…?
You heard right! No, Noise is not a band… However, we do have small groups that meet (generally) every other week. These small groups are called “Bands.” John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, used Bands to develop Christians… We do too!
Our Bands are divided by gender and are led by trained adults. The week prior to Bands, we are all together for a main lesson. Band week is a deeper, more personal discussion of the lesson.
